IADC Wellsharp Drilling Surface Stack(3.5 Days) - Level 3 “Driller”

For assistant drillers, this course addresses practical well control skills, with a focus on detecting a kick and shutting in the well, for assistant drillers and drillers. Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses well control principles, theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. This is a 32-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)



IADC Wellsharp Drilling Surface and Subsea Stack (3.5 Days) - Level 3 “Driller”

Driller Surface and Subsea Stack- Addresses practical well control skills, with a focus on detecting a kick and shutting in the well, for assistant drillers and drillers. Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses well control principles and theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. This course covers fundamental and supervisory level well control training for surface and/or subsea workover and completion. (2-year certification)




IADC WellSharp Drilling Surface Stack (3.5 Days) - Level 4 ”Supervisor”

For tool pushers, superintendents, drilling foremen, and company men, this course is designed to meet industry guidelines and focuses on well kill procedures addressing more advance principles and theories of well control and presenting a variety of well control methods. This is a 32-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC WellSharp Drilling (3.5 Days) Surface and Subsea Stack - Level 4 “Supervisor”

For tool pushers, superintendents, drilling foremen, and company men, this course focuses on well kill procedures and covers fundamental and supervisiory level well control training for surface and/or subsea workover and completion. This is a 40-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC WellSharp Drilling/Completion/Workover (4.5/5 Day) Surface and Subsea Level 4 “Supervisor”

For well site supervisory and office-based personal who are primarily involved in the decision-making process for well control and/or involved in the design of well barriers. It identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that can be used to provide surface and subsea stack well control knowledge and skills development for drilling and workover operations. 

Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses more advanced principles and theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. It identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills necessary to meet IADC WellSharp™ learning objectives. This is a 40-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC Wellsharp Oil and Gas Operator Representative (OGOR) (4.5 Days)

For Oil and Gas Operator Representatives who are primarily responsible for the oversight of coiled tubing, snubbing, wireline, and workover operational processes of well control. This curriculum identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that provide well control training for Oil and Gas Operator Representatives.

IADC recommends that well site supervisory and office-based personnel who are primarily involved in the operational decision-making process for well control and/or involved in design of well barriers attend this course. This is a 40-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC Wellsharp Wireline (3.5 Days)

For all wireline hands, field engineers and senior field engineers concentrating on wellbore complications related to well control issues. This is a stand -alone course and incorporates basic production tenants along with Wireline intervention best practices. This is a 32-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC Wellsharp Workover (3.5 Days)

Designed for service company equipment operators who are primarily responsible for the workover operational processes of well control. This is a 32-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC Wellsharp Coiled Tubing(3.5 Days)

This course curriculum is designed for service company equipment operators primarily responsible in coiled tubing operational processes of well control. The curriculum identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that can be used to provide well control training for coiled tubing operations personnel.

Here are some applicable coiled tubing company positions or job responsibilities: Supervisor, Engineer, Coiled Tubing Operator. This is a 32-hour IADC Wellsharp approved course. (2-year certification)




IADC Wellsharp Snubbing (3.5 Days)

For personnel involved in well intervention, wanting an understanding of HWO-Snubbing operations and associated well control issues. This is a 30-hour certification and is a stand-alone course covering stripping operations, P&A, rig assisted snubbing as well as formulas and methods associated with typical snubbing intervention. This course is scheduled on demand only. This is a 30-hour IADC approved course. (2 year certification)



IADC Introduction to Well Servicing (Approx:2-3 Days; Computer Based/Self Paced) 


1) Fundamentals of Servicing
This module focuses on some basic oil and gas fundamentals, including an introduction to fluids, fluid properties, and fluid organization.
By the end of this module, you should:
Have a basic understanding of oil and gas processes
Understand basic math and science concepts
Appreciate the value of fluids and fluid flow systems

2) Pressure Basics
By the end of this module, you should:
Understand the relationship between formation pressure, bottomhole pressure, and surface pressure in preventing blowouts

3) Well Processes & Equipment
Get advanced basic on Completions, wireline, CT, snubbing
and their equipment

4) Barriers
Be able to define a kick and understand the fundamental causes.
Understand the consequences of mishandling a gas kick

5) Kick Procedures, Warning & others
Understand important fluid detection equipment and its purpose
Be able to identify fundamental kick warning signs

The course is computer based and approximately 24-30 hour long.
