IADC approved Well Control Training
This IADC Wellsharp accredited Snubbing course is intended for personnel involved in well intervention, wanting an understanding of HWO-Snubbing operations and associated well control issues. This is a 30 hour certification and is a stand-alone course covering stripping operations, P&A, rig assisted snubbing as well as formulas and methods associated with typical snubbing intervention. This course is scheduled on demand only.
Vorenkamp Well Control Training would like to take this opportunity to share with our valued customers the precautions that we have taken to prevent the potential spread of any infection in our training centers.
Sanitation
We have greatly increased the sanitation of our classes and partner facilities with a daily sanitation wipe downs of all common & key areas that personnel frequently utilize.
Facility Awareness
We have strategically posted signage throughout the facilities to raise the awareness and remind all staff and visitors of the CDC sanitation guidelines, warning signs to detect potential illness of themselves and others. In addition, we have extended these measures to our class orientation prior to each training course as well as to our TV monitors in our lobbies.
*COVID-19 Precautions – please assist us in preventing potential exposure at our training centers by confirming the following with your employees prior to them arriving at our facilities:
1. Confirm they have not traveled outside the USA, or traveled on a cruise ship in the past 14 days
2. Confirm they have not experienced any symptoms in the past 14 days such as body aches, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat
3. Confirm they have not recently come into contact with anyone suspected to be ill.
*If any of these items are unconfirmed, we ask that you further evaluate the employee before allowing them to attend training in a mixed population.*

This IADC WellSharp™ course curriculum is designed for Oil and Gas Operator Representatives who are primarily responsible for the oversight of coiled tubing, snubbing, wireline, and workover operational processes of well control. This curriculum identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that can be used to provide well control training for Oil and Gas Operator Representative.
IADC recommends that well site supervisory and office-based personnel who are primarily involved in the operational decision-making process for well control and/or involved in design of well barriers attend this course.
Workover—Designed for service company equipment operators who are primarily responsible for the workover operational processes of well control.
This course curriculum is designed for service company equipment operators primarily responsible in coiled tubing operational processes of well control. The curriculum identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that can be used to provide well control training for coiled tubing operations personnel.
Here are some applicable coiled tubing company positions or job responsibilities: Supervisor, Engineer, Coiled Tubing Operator. (2-year certification)
Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses more advanced principles and theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. It identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills necessary to meet IADC WellSharp™ learning objectives.
For well site supervisory and office-based personnel who are primarily involved in the decision-making process for well control and/or involved in the design of well barriers. It identifies a body of knowledge and a set of job skills that can be used to provide surface and subsea stack well control knowledge and skills development for drilling and workover operations.
Our WL WellSharp course is 28 hrs. long, concentrating on wellbore complications related to well control issues. This is a stand -alone course and incorporates basic production tenants along with Wireline intervention best practices. Designed for all Wireline Hands, Field Engineers and Senior Field Engineers. (2-year certification)
Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses more advanced principles and theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. Designed for toolpushers, superintendents, drilling foremen, and company men and focused on well kill procedures. (2-year certification)

Driller Surface Stack- Addresses practical well control skills, with a focus on detecting a kick and shutting in the well, for assistant drillers and drillers. Designed to meet industry guidelines, this course addresses well control principles and theories of well control and presents a variety of well control methods. (2-year certification)
